This painting shows a street scene just 8 miles out of Boston. Features two houses across the street from each other. One is a stately brick mansion, the other a more simple wooden structure. The larger mansions has a fenced in garden in the front yard and is flanked by two large tulips in vases on each side of the house. The wooden house has tulips planed in the yard along the road.
